Alexandra Stychkina was born in 2003 in Moscow, and in 2019, at the age of 15, she became the youngest prizewinner in the history of the Marguerite Long International Piano Competition in Paris. Earlier, she had won prizes at the Astana piano competition, Krainev competition in Moscow, International Chopin competition in China and Jeune Chopin competition in Switzerland. Alexandra has played in relevant venues in Russia, such as the Great Hall of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory and St. Petersburg Philharmonic Hall. Internationally, she has appeared at the Konzerthaus Vienna, Barbican Center in London and Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza among others. In 2016, Alexandra was invited by Sir Andras Schiff to participate in his Wigmore Hall masterclass and two years later, Alexandra was selected by the Verbier Festival to be one of the Students in Residence. Her recent chamber music partners have included Alexander Sitkovetsky and Boris Andrianov. Since 2019 Alexandra studies with Kirill Gerstein at the Musikhochschule Hans Eisler Berlin completing her studies at the Central Music School of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory in the class of Mira Marchenko.
