Eka Bokuchava

Eka Bokuchava was born in 1992 in Tbilisi, Georgia, and studied at the Zacharia Paliashvili school between 1998 and 2011 under Nana Makharadze. In 2015 she graduated at the Tbilisi Conservatoire within Edisher Rusishvili’s class and went on to continue her studies at the Franz Liszt Hochschule der Musik in Weimar with Gerlinde Otto for one semester. From 2017 she studies in Karl-Andreas Kolly’s class at the University of Arts in Zurich, where she currently studies towards a master’s degree in pedagogy. She is a laureate of many competitions, obtaining the first prizes in the International Piano competition and festival Music Without Borders in Druskininkai, Lithuania; Musik competition Golden Keys Zurich, Switzerland (2018), in which she also obtained two special prizes; the International piano competition Città di Airola, Italy (2019); and the Landolt Competition in Zurich (2021). She has also received the second prize and two special prizes at the International piano competition Halina Czerny-Stefanska in memoriem in Poznan, Poland. Eka Bokuchava has received masterclasses from musicians such as Arie Vardi, Boris Berman, Elisso Virsaladze, Ether Anjaparidze, Marian Rybicki, Temur Akhobadze, Tamara Kordzadze, Siegfried Mauser, Marek Szlezer, Michael Leuschner, Natalia Trull, Rolf-Dieter Arens Oxana Yablonskaya, amongst others.
